The Harriet Tubman Career Center is a community project aimed at bringing job opportunities to North St. Louis, Missouri. The center is envisioned by the long-time community leader William "Bill" Monroe, who is already making an impact in the community.

William "Bill" Monroe is a graduate of Soldan High School, Viet-Nam Era Veteran, former St. Louis Police Officer and Detective of Police, served on the St. Louis City Board of Education, Participant in the Million Man March in 1995, Education Activist, Charter School Developer (The Thurgood Marshall Academy Charter School), CEO/Director of the Non-Profit Harriet Tubman-State of Missouri Certificate Missouri NONPROFIT (N00654982) Since April 2005.
